Social Accountability SA 8000 ...

We are qualified auditors who can assist with the setting up of an SA 8000 system and/or carry out 2nd party auditing to the standard or to a company's own procedures, practices and codes of conduct.

SA 8000 - Social Accountability Standard

This standard enables company's to demonstrate to interested parties that policies, procedures and practices conform to the following requirements:

  • Child Labour
  • Forced Labour
  • Health and Safety
  • Freedom of Association & right to collective bargaining
  • Discrimination
  • Disciplinary Practices
  • Working Hours, Remuneration & Compensation

The basic ISO 9001 requirements also apply i.e Management Review, Corrective Action, Suppliers & Subcontractors & Sub suppliers, Communication.

Local laws and regulations may also need to be taken into consideration depending on the country/location of the business. These may lead to the co-operation of:

  • International Labour Organisation (ILO)
  • Non-governmental organisations (NGO's)
  • Grass-roots organisations (GRO's)
  • Trade Unions
